Asset Audit Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Audit Team Lead to join our team at AJ Bell Management Limited. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating external CASS audits, ensuring that our company's assets are properly managed and protected.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Coordinate External Audits: You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing external audits to ensure that they are delivered in accordance with the audit plan.
- Manage Inter-Dependencies: You will work closely with external audit teams and internal business areas to ensure that audit work is managed efficiently and effectively from start to finish.
- Perform Quality Reviews: You will perform a final quality review of audit evidence before submission to the auditor.
- Monitor Progress and Resources: You will monitor overall progress of the audit and resources, highlighting inefficiencies, risks, and issues.
- Support the Firm's Wider CASS Function: You will provide regular audit status updates to CASS Forum and other forums and committees.
- Undertake Root Cause and Trend Analysis: You will undertake root cause and trend analysis to enable the production of management information.
- Provide Support and Training: You will provide support and assist in the delivery of training to operational teams.
- Support Change Initiatives: You will support change initiatives, assessing the impact on CASS processes.
- Represent the CASS Team: You will represent the CASS team in relevant discussions and meetings.
- Strong CASS Understanding: You will have a strong understanding of CASS, particularly of chapters 6, 7, 8, and 10 of the CASS handbook.
- Strong Planning and Organisation Skills: You will have strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and coordinate work to be undertaken by different teams and departments.
- Experience with Microsoft Office: You will have experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: You will have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to compile and evaluate data for decision making.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good Understanding of Financial Services: You will have a good understanding of financial services.
- Ability to Work Well Under Pressure: You will be able to work well under pressure, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
