Role Overview

In this position, you will play a key role in crafting and sustaining an engaging shopping atmosphere for our customers, with a particular emphasis on Home. Your responsibilities will include developing visual merchandising layouts and guidelines, overseeing a team of Visual Merchandisers, providing support to retail locations, and consistently exploring innovative strategies to advance the department.

You will be tasked with identifying and coordinating significant projects within the Home Visual Merchandising sector, primarily for retail outlets. This will involve effective communication with relevant internal teams, retail locations, field teams, and external partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and creating new display equipment while collaborating with external suppliers and adhering to budget constraints.

In the absence of the Visual Merchandise Manager, you will be expected to step in, providing support and coordination for team members, participating in meetings, and making critical decisions as necessary.

It will be your duty to ensure that the budgets for the Home Visual Merchandising team are consistently updated, and any spending concerns are promptly communicated to the Visual Merchandise Manager. You will also assist in preparing budget proposals for each new season.

Furthermore, you will ensure the timely creation of the Home Visual Merchandising Seasonal Planner for each season, incorporating all relevant layouts and projects, along with a detailed timeline for each initiative.

This role is a full-time, permanent position based at our headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing product layouts
  • Planning and executing visual merchandising transitions with the VM team in alignment with the Retail Marketing schedule
  • Maintaining communication with the Home product team throughout the layout process
  • Providing creative input for layouts and display equipment
  • Researching and offering feedback on ideas to enhance layouts through merchandising and equipment
  • Leading projects aimed at advancing the Home department
  • Supporting store openings, reconfigurations, and refurbishments
  • Coordinating visual merchandising guideline documentation for each phase
  • Drafting communications and memos for retail locations
  • Serving as the primary contact for product teams and store inquiries

Candidate Profile

  • Strong planning and time management abilities
  • Experience in supervising team members
  • Ability to lead, support, and inspire a team
  • Demonstrated personal drive, motivation, and resilience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel or stay away for short periods and work additional hours as needed
  • Experience with Home products is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Background in Visual Merchandising within a retail context
  • Familiarity with Indesign and Photoshop is a plus
