Assistant Merchandiser

Our client, a family-owned Licensed Garment supplier to the high street, is seeking an ambitious and confident Assistant Merchandiser to join their team. This role will involve assisting account managers and merchandise teams across multiple high street accounts.

The Role:
  • Negotiate prices with factories and customers
  • Raise new orders internally and send to overseas factories/in-country merchandisers
  • Check all details on customer contracts
  • Liaise with factories/in-country merchandisers daily via email and phone regarding approvals/rejections
  • Update and analyze internal and customer critical paths
  • Conduct weekly Skype calls with factories
  • Send sample submissions – lab dips/strike-offs to customers
  • Coordinate between licensing and QC departments with sample approvals
  • Liaise with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Liaise with design department for design issues and high-resolution artwork
  • Check label artworks and give factory approval
  • Identify production issues and resolve problems
  • Read test reports and send production pieces to the lab
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Attend customer meetings

  • Ensure smooth handovers between departments
