Bespoke Business Intelligence Support Specialist – Interface Recruitment UK

Our client's innovative data visualization software empowers businesses to make faster and more informed decisions, capitalizing on the growing demand for Business Intelligence. This presents a compelling market opportunity for them.

The core value proposition of their product lies in its ability to make businesses more effective, which is the driving force behind customer acquisition and retention.

This role is responsible for providing expert support for the Business Intelligence product, ensuring seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the Helpdesk, logging and responding to calls to deliver swift and effective solutions to customers.
  2. Work within a scheduled support desk system to ensure timely issue resolution.
  3. Oversee the support help desk at all times, ensuring calls are handled professionally and efficiently.
  4. Develop in-depth knowledge of the Business Intelligence product to provide expert-level support.
  5. Regularly report progress to the Product Director, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  6. Communicate inter-team dependencies to the Product Director, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  7. Collaborate with the team to achieve consistent milestones and deliverables.
  8. Share knowledge and best practices with the team and peers, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  9. Communicate customer issues to the internal customer account manager, ensuring prompt resolution.
Requirements:

2+ years of experience in a Helpdesk role, with a strong background in Business Intelligence applications.

Desirable Skills:

Proficiency in Helpdesk software, such as Jira, and database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM, Sybase, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, knowledge of NoSQL databases, including Hadoop and Amazon, is beneficial. Strong written communication, problem-solving, time management, and commercial awareness skills are essential. Ability to quickly adapt to new skills and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
