About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Lead to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Business Intelligence and Data Architecture solutions that support our company's growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create visualizations and reports for requested projects, and design, build, and deploy Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Line Management: Manage and lead a team of Power BI Developers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Data Analytics: Maintain and support data analytics platforms, and take ownership of Power BI reports, ensuring they are of high quality and meet business requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide IT technical leadership, expertise, and direction for Business Intelligence, and ensure alignment of IT strategy and business strategic goals.
  • Architectural Support: Provide architectural support at the front end of projects and continue to provide support as projects deliver, including interfacing between the business, IT, and partners.
  • Technical Evangelism: Be the principal evangelist within IT and across the business for the rationale for our data architecture and roadmaps, able to translate technical issues into plain English.
  • External Innovation: Monitor external technology innovation to ensure that the business remains technologically competitive, including suppliers, competitors, and adjacent sectors.
  • Project Management: Manage, schedule, and prioritize work for Power BI Developers, ensuring that appropriate data standards are applied across the enterprise.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree calibre, with a professional background in Software Development.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of data architecture experience, including ETL & MDM solutions, and advanced SQL programming skills.
  • Skills: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, knowledge and understanding of architecture management techniques, and experience in mentoring and coaching developers in technical and data architecture.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with PaaS (Software, Infrastructure, Platforms), Data Storage technology (SQL, Cosmos), Microsoft technologies (DevOps, Windows 10, SharePoint), and Enterprise Service Management (ServiceNow).
