About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Safety Manager to join our team at PA Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents in our higher risk buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage buildings within our stock portfolio to ensure a coordinated building safety approach that prioritizes the safety of residents, staff, and other building users.
  • Coordinate, implement, and manage all matters related to building safety, maintenance, and repairs, as prescribed in the relevant building safety case and associated building safety action plan.
  • Lead on resident engagement at our higher risk buildings, ensuring that safety concerns are recorded, monitored, and addressed appropriately.
  • Implement a safe system of work to ensure that responsive repairs and planned preventive maintenance work are well-managed and recorded at our higher risk buildings.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of ACOPs / regulatory compliance covering M&E building services and fire detection, fire risk assessments, and managing and supervising maintenance works.
  • Experience in managing the big 6 in compliance for residential and high-rise buildings.
  • Experience in implementing a resident engagement strategy, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents across the portfolio of properties concerned.
  • Hold a recognized fire safety, Health and Safety, and/or construction qualification, such as NEBOSH, or a Fire Safety Management equivalent.
  • Experience in implementing a mandatory occurrence reporting system.
