Community Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Safety Specialist to join our team at PA Housing. As a key member of our community safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community safety strategies to prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour
- Work closely with residents, community groups, and local authorities to build strong relationships and promote community cohesion
- Provide support and guidance to residents experiencing anti-social behaviour, including providing information and advice on how to resolve issues
- Represent PA Housing at external forums and meetings, such as MARAC meetings and case conferences
- Coordinate and oversee crime prevention programs, including neighbourhood watch groups, safety awareness campaigns, and community policing initiatives
Requirements:
- Knowledge of community safety principles, crime prevention strategies, and relevant legislation
- Practical experience of using Landlord and Tenant legislation and best practice
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a customer service environment working for a Housing Association or other public service organisation, in a capacity which involved face-to-face interaction with customers, resolving difficult issues
- Detailed knowledge of Housing Law
- Full case management of ASB cases, including providing support to victims and taking legal action
