The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as an Autism Support Specialist. This role involves providing personalized, one-on-one assistance to a child, with a focus on enhancing language, communication, and social/emotional development.

Position Overview:

The position begins with a commitment of four hours per day, with the possibility of extending to eight hours. The child in focus is preparing for a transition to school next year and would greatly benefit from tailored support.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A background in early childhood education or training in Intensive Behavioral Intervention.
  • Proficiency in English to ensure effective communication.

Additional Requirements:

Candidates must also possess CPR First Aid certification, undergo a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, and hold Food Safety certification (which can be acquired after acceptance). Experience in daycare or special needs environments is highly desirable.
