At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Management Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Marine & Engineering Systems FP&A team at our Rosyth site.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for supporting all month-end, budget, and forecast reporting processes for the business unit. You'll work closely with the finance leadership team to provide good quality and accurate ad hoc analytical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end reporting processes, including the preparation of journals, adhering to Group and Sector standards and timescales.
  • Finance business partner with project and functional teams to control costs and understand movements and variances from budget.
  • Play an active role in supporting the finance transformation agenda.
  • Contribute to finance and site-wide continuous improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience of using an ERP system (IFS / SAP would be desirable).
