We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cancer Information Centre Support Worker to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the cancer information & support manager, senior cancer support worker & cancer information centre support worker to deliver centre-based support and cancer information & support service development, focusing on health promotion & self-empowerment.
  • Provide high-quality information and support to patients, carers, their families, and friends face-to-face and by telephone.
  • Utilize effective organization skills, ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally, and good observation skills to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to a team environment, motivating self and others, and demonstrating a flexible attitude to working.
  • Accurately communicate information in writing and demonstrate empathy towards individuals affected by cancer.
  • Prioritize workload and retrieve information from various sources and formats to meet service needs.
