Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre and post-operative care to children and young people, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Work closely with the nursing team to support children undergoing surgery, providing emotional support and assistance with personal care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for children, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care, staying up-to-date with best practices and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a healthcare setting, preferably as a HCA.
  • Current phlebotomy skills are an advantage.
  • Friendly and approachable manner, with excellent communication skills.
