About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Spire Nottingham. As a Paediatric HCA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people undergoing surgery or treatment.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide pre and post-operative care to children and young people, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individual's health and wellbeing needs, including wound care and personal care.
- Work alongside the nursing team to support children undergoing or preparing to undergo surgery.
- Ensure children feel safe and at ease in the environment through playful interaction and support.
- Develop own knowledge and skills, as well as those of others, to provide the best possible care.
- Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
- Assist in maintaining and developing services to meet the needs of our patients.

Person Specification
We are looking for an experienced and caring individual who has worked with children in some capacity, ideally as a HCA. Current phlebotomy skills would be an advantage. A friendly and approachable manner is essential for this role.
