Job Responsibilities

As a Hazards Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of nuclear facilities by producing and updating Hazard Verification Studies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing technical topics related to the protection requirements for hazards within the building and system design
  • Participating in discipline meetings on hazards, nuclear safety, radiation protection, and the environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering, preferably specializing in safety
  • Knowledge of safety requirement implementation and hazard studies, preferably in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience with Nuclear Safety Assessment Principles and their application
  • Experience in systems, layout engineering, and pipework
  • Familiarity with PDMS and Navisworks software
  • Fluency in English; French is advantageous
