About the Role

Barnfield Engineering, a leading provider of mechanical engineering services, is seeking a skilled Site Fitter/Installer to join our team. As a Site Fitter/Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation of steel structures, working closely with our design team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to locate and erect steel structures accurately.
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate lifting and installation of structures, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Adjust, cut, and repair existing/new structures as required, adhering to quality standards.
  • Assist in the fabrication stage at our yard, working closely with the workshop team.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the design team, workshop, and management to ensure a smooth project workflow.
  • Comply with all client rules and regulations, including safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic, contributing to a positive team dynamic.
Requirements
  • A full UK Driver's License is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience in mechanical installations, steel structures, and handrailings is highly desirable.
