About the Role

Barnfield Engineering is seeking a skilled Site Fitter/Installer to join our team. As a Site Fitter/Installer, you will be responsible for installing and erecting steel structures on various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to locate and erect steel structures
  • Locate, align, and square up steel structures to ensure accurate installation
  • Adjust, cut, and repair existing or new structures as required
  • Collaborate with the installation team to facilitate lifting and installation of structures
  • Assist in the fabrication stage by working with the yard team to prepare structures for installation
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties on site
  • Communicate with the design team to ensure accurate installation and resolve any issues
  • Comply with all client rules and regulations, including safety protocols and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a professional and constructive attitude towards work and colleagues
Requirements
  • Full UK driving license
  • Previous experience in mechanical installations, steel structures, and handrailings (desirable)
