Key Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic, your duties will include:
- Independently assessing, managing, and treating patients
- Delivering care to individuals with various health issues and injuries
- Prescribing medications as an independent non-medical prescriber or utilizing PGDs
- Evaluating and treating patients aged 2 and older
- Effectively communicating complex and sensitive information to patients, families, and colleagues
- Leading and mentoring team members to foster professional and clinical growth
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic role, applicants must possess:
- Registered Nurse status with a valid NMC pin or Paramedic with HCPC registration (unrestricted)
- Full eligibility to live and work in the UK
- Evidence of ongoing professional education and training at the Master's level or completion of a level 7 module in advanced practice
- A minimum of 2 years of UK experience in a comparable setting (emergency care or autonomously within a GP practice)
- Independent Prescriber qualification (or in progress)
- Experience caring for patients aged 2 and above
- Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification is advantageous
- Competence in conducting physical examinations for patients of all ages
- Strong ability to prioritize workload
