Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Registered Children's Nurse to join our Paediatric Emergency Department as a Sister/Charge Nurse on a 6-month fixed contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading shifts, managing staff, and providing high-quality patient care.
Main Duties of the JobThe department is led by a Matron and supported by a Practice Development Nurse. You will join a dedicated team of experienced and motivated paediatric nurses, PEM consultant, and Paediatric Consultants available at peak times. Our Emergency Department offers an educationally focused environment that allows nurses to professionally grow and develop a vast repertoire of clinical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Person SpecificationQualifications
- Registered Nurse (Child) with Nursing & Midwifery Council
- Mentorship Qualification
- Relevant specialist course or equivalent experience
- Experience of leading shifts in the Emergency or Acute Paediatric Department
Experience/Knowledge
- Extensive experience within acute Paediatric speciality
- Knowledge of quality, standard setting, benchmarking and audit
- Knowledge of NMC Code of Professional Conduct
- Extensive knowledge of speciality
Skills
