Location: This position allows for a hybrid work model, combining office presence with remote work.

Salary and benefits : Competitive salary range of £65,000 - £75,000, complemented by a bonus structure of up to 32%, comprehensive private medical insurance, 38 days of annual leave, a robust pension scheme, life assurance at 12 times your salary, career break opportunities, income protection, and three volunteering days, among other benefits.

Role Overview

Your contributions will be vital to strategic business initiatives and reporting, ensuring that specialized insights are integrated into business decision-making processes.

You will effectively communicate with a technical actuarial audience while simplifying complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for developing, coaching, and mentoring actuarial trainees and analysts to enhance their contributions.

Your role will include preparing documentation and reports for senior management as needed.

You will consistently seek to improve processes and procedures to deliver effective solutions for the organization.

Staying informed about regulatory, business, and professional developments in a rapidly changing regulatory landscape will be essential.

You will regularly work within defined and tight deadlines while upholding professional standards.

Balancing business demands, challenges, and risks will require sound judgment in complex scenarios, often characterized by significant uncertainty.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a qualified Actuary with diverse experience in actuarial reporting and change, or other life actuarial fields, who has a proven track record of success in a commercial setting.

Familiarity with financial reporting metrics, particularly Solvency II, is highly desirable, as is experience in actuarial change initiatives. Proficiency in modeling is advantageous, along with the ability to leverage existing modeling expertise to adopt new technologies.

A strong desire to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment, coupled with a commitment to driving continuous improvement, will be key to thriving in this role.

You should possess the ability to cultivate strong relationships and drive action through influence and collaboration across various departments, along with the experience and capability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior stakeholders from diverse disciplines.
