Are you an experienced HR leader with a commitment to enhancing the employee experience in the healthcare industry? Our client, a prominent children's hospice, is in search of a strategic and impactful leader to take on the role of Interim Director of People.
Contract Details: Fixed-term contract for 6 months
Full-time position with hybrid working options available (3 days a week onsite)
- Provide strategic HR leadership, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, to ensure the organization has the capacity and systems necessary for effective service delivery to management, staff, and volunteers.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy, focusing on succession planning and defining key competencies for various roles.
- Offer strategic guidance on all HR-related matters, including policies, procedures, and risk management.
- Oversee daily HR operations, including employee relations, absence management, and policy updates.
- Promote equality and diversity initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Lead and mentor the HR team, encouraging collaboration and teamwork across departments.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a senior HR professional with a proven track record in a diverse HR environment, particularly during periods of organizational change.
Experience in the healthcare sector or hospice settings is preferred, along with a background in volunteer management.
Demonstrated expertise in innovative recruitment and talent strategies, utilizing digital and social media resources, events, and staff referrals is essential.
Strong understanding of HR and learning and development legal requirements is necessary.
