Job Title: General Manager Works

This is a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing controllable costs, leading the recruiting and training of new team members, and ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective management of stock orders and cleaning supplies to eliminate wastage and overspend
  • Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within the gym
  • Reporting facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines
  • Be resilient and agile to react to challenging situations and find solutions
  • Able to effectively manage all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, inclusive of pool plant operations
Requirements:
  • Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable)
  • 1+ year previous management role experience within the fitness industry
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Adaptability in communication and management style depending on the team member and their drivers
  • Flexibility in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required
