Compliance Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Director to join our team at Compliance Professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and developing our financial crime programme in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct due diligence on clients, counterparties, and joint venture partners to ensure compliance with anti-money-laundering and anti-corruption requirements.
  • Provide support and advice to the business and compliance colleagues on regulatory matters.
  • Incorporate regulatory changes into guidance for the business and support the enforcement of all policies.
  • Protect the integrity and reputation of the Company and develop a positive compliance culture.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a related capacity for a financial services company, preferably in compliance, law, risk, audit, or a similar control function.
  • Experience of European financial regulation and markets, and a genuine interest in global compliance concerns.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and commercially with business stakeholders while ensuring an effective compliance culture.
  • Good knowledge of relevant UK and European laws, familiarity with SEC requirements is advantageous.
