As a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the International Consumer Bank, you will serve as a respected engineering authority, leading a team of engineers. Your technical expertise will guide your squad's implementations, and your confidence will enable you to challenge architectural decisions while ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives that provide customer value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct a team of engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical components within the Invest Tribe at Chase UK.

• Manage the engineering squad; establish clear objectives, support professional growth, and enhance the team's delivery capabilities.

• Oversee the execution of multiple concurrent projects, monitor dependencies, and address any obstacles.

• Collaborate with Product teams to co-own a comprehensive set of technical and customer use cases, including user journeys and back-office functionalities.

• Partner with peers in Product to develop a strategic roadmap that aligns with business goals, manages technical debt, and supports operational teams.

• Work alongside Technical Leads and Principal Engineers to create robust, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

• Implement delivery ceremonies and maintain a strong agile rhythm. Evaluate and enhance the team's performance metrics.

• Adopt a data-driven approach; establish and monitor metrics related to delivery, system health, and customer experiences.

• Promote an inclusive culture of high-quality engineering within your team and across the organization, implementing best practices and striving for excellence in engineering standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Formal training or certification in team management principles, along with substantial experience.

• Strong collaborator with a solid technical foundation, focused on achieving optimal outcomes through teamwork with peers who possess equally strong technical perspectives.

• Business-oriented mindset, capable of interpreting business and product requirements to devise effective engineering solutions.

• Innovative mindset, willing to challenge the status quo to expedite the achievement of business objectives.

• Extensive experience with JVM languages.

• Proven expertise in automating deployment, releases, and testing within continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Demonstrated success in designing and managing microservices utilizing Cloud technologies and event-driven architectures.

• Strong leadership qualities; dedicated to attracting, retaining, and developing talent to build a highly effective delivery team.
