Job Summary

The Pharmacy Porter will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting pharmacy stock to and from wards and departments, adhering to our manual handling policy at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport pharmacy stock to and from wards and departments using push/electric trolley and/or electric pallet truck
  • Visit all wards/departments as per rota to collect and deliver pharmacy stock
  • Ensure timely delivery of medications and relay any issues to the supervisor team
  • Assist pharmacy storekeepers in their duties when necessary
  • Notify technicians/manager of any deficiencies in supply

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
