Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting the pharmacy manager with staff training, including organising attendance on relevant courses and encouraging professional development.
- Recruiting pharmacy staff in line with Trust policies and procedures.
- Ensuring adequate staff cover by approving annual leave and study leave.
- Coordinating the destruction of controlled drugs and maintaining monthly stock checks.
- Working with the pharmacy manager and operations manager to monitor workload and deploy staff effectively.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
- Accreditation in Final Accuracy Checking and Medicines Optimisation.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable qualifications include a management or leadership qualification and a qualified NVQ/TAQA. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work effectively.
