About the Role

As a Contract Manager at Mears, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to Housing Client properties. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our teams operate to Mears defined branch standards and deliver best-in-class customer service while meeting all safety, quality, and cost control standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of operational and commercial delivery, ensuring contract performance meets contractual commitments and agreed company and client protocols.
  • Oversee works to programme time frames, producing project updates on budget, cash flow, work programmes, and health and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, Mears standard operating procedures, Mears values, and quality assurance accreditations.
  • Manage direct labour resources and supply chain, identifying opportunities to increase productivity and capture efficiency savings.
  • Collaborate with group Procurement to maximize the benefit of national procurement agreements and new innovations.
  • Adhere to and complete company and client reporting protocols within required timescales.
  • Cultivate a positive, customer-focused culture across all work and programme activities, ensuring staff demonstrate a professional approach to communicating with stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction in delivery and achievement of contractual KPI targets, adhering to Mears Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage employee performance, coach, and develop individuals in their roles.
  • Protect company assets, ensuring applicable HR policies and procedures are followed, with assets maintained in good condition.
  • Provide accurate reporting to management as requested.
  • Cultivate a strong working relationship with the client, understanding local communities, and providing feedback and assessment of client views in relation to project delivery and market trends.

Role Criteria

  • Proven track record in repairs maintenance contract management and delivery.
  • Proven track record of commercial and performance management.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven track record of working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience in contract management.
  • Experience in motivating and inspiring a diverse workforce.
