Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Older Persons community mental health services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide medical and psychiatric support to Consultant Psychiatrists and contribute to the management of service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical and psychiatric support to Consultant Psychiatrists and contribute to the management of service users.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Engage in research, specialist interests, teaching, training, supervision, and leadership opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience at Core Training level or above.
  • Registration with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice.
  • Eligibility for approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act.
  • Desirable: MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
