Job Summary
Pinfold Medical Practice is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a primary care setting. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical initiatives, and contributing to the development of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as necessary.
- Lead minor illness clinics, manage early diagnosis of illness, and refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop protocols, standards, and audit tools.
- Identify, assess, and diagnose patients with complex health needs, and develop individualized management plans.
- Lead the introduction and use of technical and specialist nursing treatments for patients with complex healthcare needs.
- Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs, and manage national and local screening programs.
- Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team, including policy development and education.
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse with evidence of further nurse training and qualifications relevant to the role.
- Minimum 1-year prescribing experience working in accordance with UKCC Code of Professional Conduct and The Scope of Profession Practice.
- Independent prescribing qualification.
- At least three years of community nurse experience (District Nursing, Health Visiting, or Practice Nurse experience).
- Ability to self-motivate, organize, and prioritize workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of current clinical-based practice, clinical governance, and current professional issues relating to nursing.

The post-holder will maintain confidentiality and adhere to the practice's policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data. They will also implement and lead on health and safety and infection control measures as defined in the practice's Health & Safety policy and Infection Control policy.
