Job Purpose

The role of Turbine O&M Support Technician at RES involves supporting the Turbine O&M Team in delivering specific projects and ensuring the successful candidate provides technical assistance to resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Turbine O&M Team in delivering specific projects
  • Provide technical assistance to resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Conduct technical audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and deliver specific in-house technical training
  • Assist with the resolution of onsite technical issues and implement technical improvements
Requirements
  • Technical background in mechanical and/or electrical systems, preferably in a turbine discipline
  • Good analytical fault-finding capabilities on Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong approach to safe working practices
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Enthusiasm for personal development
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills for writing reports, reporting progress, and communicating
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Previous Wind Turbine maintenance experience
  • Experience of working remotely without close supervision
  • WTSR Experience (AT/AE)
  • Experience Fault finding
  • Use of Endoscope, gearbox inspections
  • Hydraulic systems
Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 either Mechanical or Electrical Qualification
