Wardell Armstrong, a distinguished multi-disciplinary consultancy with a rich heritage of 185 years, is seeking a highly skilled and commercially adept individual to join our Energy and Climate Change Team. Our team is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to complex challenges in the realms of:

  1. Property & Development
  2. Infrastructure & Utilities
  3. Mining & Minerals
Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our climate change services, particularly in the Bristol area. This position involves a diverse array of projects, including:

  • Technical assessments for renewable energy project planning
  • Modelling intricate off-grid energy systems
  • Utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics for wind flow analysis

The ideal applicant will possess a degree in mathematics, science, or engineering, coupled with five to ten years of relevant experience. A strong technical background is essential, particularly in data manipulation to uncover patterns and devise effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in two or more of the following technical areas is advantageous:

  1. Building Surveying
  2. Energy Modelling and Building Efficiency
  3. Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) knowledge
  4. Feasibility Studies
  5. Renewable Energy Technologies (both small and large scale)
  6. Financial Modelling
  7. Low Carbon Construction Practices
  8. Carbon Accounting Techniques
  9. Net Zero Initiatives
  10. Life Cycle Assessment Methodologies
  11. Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment

The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the national and local initiatives aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, contributing to the growth of Wardell Armstrong's influence in the sector.
