About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the delivery of our forensic service in the Eastern region. As Regional Contract Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our contracts, managing the financial performance of the region, and maintaining adherence to quality standards.

You will be an ambassador for our service, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, and ensuring that our service conforms to best practice for medicines management. You will also be responsible for engaging with local safeguarding boards and ensuring that our risk registers, action plans, and asset registers are up to date and fit for purpose.

As a leader, you will be responsible for the performance management of your team, ensuring that they are compliant with MAST, vetting, revalidation, onboarding, and offboarding. You will also be responsible for training and personal development, and for undertaking Mandatory and Statutory Training in line with Mountain Healthcare policy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commissioner/Contract Management
  2. Accountable for the successful delivery of the Eastern region contracts.
  3. Overall financial performance of the Eastern contract.
  4. Adherence to agreed quality standards.
  5. Act as an ambassador for our service.
  6. Identify service gaps, potential business cases, and new opportunities for growth.
  7. Clinical accountability for ensuring that our forensic service conforms to all relevant quality standards.
  8. Accountable for ensuring that the service conforms to best practice for medicines management.
  9. Engage with local safeguarding boards.
  10. Accountable for ensuring the risk registers in their region, action plans, and asset registers are up to date and fit for purpose.
  11. Accountable for ensuring that complaints are properly investigated and closed.
  12. Accountable for ensuring that Information Asset Ownership is properly managed in their regions.
  13. Accountable for continually monitoring potential accreditations to identify those that we should sign up to in order to ensure that our patients have the best possible experience.
  14. Be accountable for records management and information governance within their region.
  15. Ensure that requirements for reports for child protection proceedings are met.
  16. Ensure that registered healthcare professionals under your management renew their registration as directed by their professional body.
  17. Leadership responsibility for all the staff in the region - including performance management; MAST compliance; supervision; and training and personal development.
  18. Direct line management of SARC Managers and other key members of the team as required.
  19. Supporting research and quality improvement activities for the region.
  20. Accountable for ensuring rota compliance across the region.
  21. Accountable for ensuring that their teams are compliant with MAST, vetting, revalidation, onboarding, and offboarding and DBS.
  22. Training and Personal Development.
  23. Attend supervision for themselves and carry out supervision for their direct reports.
  24. If clinical, do a minimum of one clinical shift per month to ensure that they remain compliant with their registration and understand how the service is delivered at the frontline.
  25. To undertake Mandatory and Statutory Training in line with Mountain Healthcare policy.
  26. To undertake training in line with the objectives and PDP set at regular formal appraisals.
