About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adult Safeguarding Advisor to join our team at ICE Creates. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering a Stop Smoking Service across Devon, supporting local residents to quit smoking through a 3-tiered approach service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent levels of customer service and coaching support to individuals, addressing or reporting any concerns in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Plan and deliver smoking cessation advice and coaching support sessions, including advice on stop smoking medications, working within recommended protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide general health and lifestyle advice and support to individuals, including healthy eating, physical activity, and stress management.
  • Be involved in practice awareness raising sessions in Primary Care, Secondary Care, and Community settings.
  • Contribute to the marketing and promotion of the service alongside other colleagues.
  • Undertake specific project and/or development activities in conjunction with the Service Lead.
  • Monitor and evaluate client feedback, offering recommendations to improve services.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in health-related studies or substantial experience.
  • Smoking Cessation Training Level 2 delivered by an NHS Stop Smoking Service or the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (or to undertake within 1 month of starting in post).
  • Ability to independently travel with own car to be available to drive across the Devon area.
  • IT literate and able to confidently use online methods of communication.
  • Good eye for detail and accuracy with data input and reporting.
  • Experience of using databases or digital systems to record data.
