This position plays a vital role in fostering a secure and welcoming environment for students, residents, and visitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe individual in this position will undertake a variety of day-to-day maintenance activities, focusing on both reactive and preventative measures to meet established service standards. Responsibilities include:
- Executing routine maintenance tasks and addressing urgent repair needs as they arise.
- Collaborating closely with the Estates Department to obtain professional guidance, resources, and support.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, during routine and emergency maintenance operations.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Basic DIY skills and a general understanding of maintenance practices.
- The ability to achieve competence in Portable Appliance Testing, if not already certified.
- A foundational knowledge of the construction sector, particularly regarding electrical, gas, and plumbing systems, to ensure safety while performing tasks near these installations.
