Position Overview:
Meraki Talent is collaborating with a prominent financial services organization to recruit a Senior Data Protection Analyst.

In this role, you will be an integral part of a dedicated data protection team, tasked with the implementation and integration of a comprehensive data privacy and management program. This program will align with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) accountability framework, ensuring ongoing compliance with the UK GDPR and other pertinent data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Protection Guidance: Provide expert advice on privacy and data protection matters.
  • PDP Query Management: Address and manage PDP inquiries, collaborating with the Data Protection Officer, Legal teams, or ICO support as necessary.
  • Centralized Guidance Maintenance: Oversee a centralized repository for PDP guidance and templates.
  • Operational Procedures Development: Create, disseminate, and uphold privacy-related operational procedures.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities for privacy process improvements and lead their design and execution.
  • Tool Management: Operate and maintain relevant tools, including the PDP modules of OneTrust and issue tracking within Simple Risk.
  • Training and Awareness: Educate stakeholders on data protection processes and maintain portal content related to guidance, policy, and procedures.
  • Data Protection Rights: Ensure individual data protection rights are upheld.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred recognized certification in UK/European privacy and data protection, such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in data protection, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in environments handling high volumes of personal data.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other relevant privacy laws.
  • Solid understanding of information security principles and their connection to data protection.
  • Technical insight into technologies and their implications for data protection and privacy.
  • Familiarity with OneTrust, particularly the Data Mapping and Third-Party Assurance module.
