About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Privacy Regulation and Liaison Manager to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As the voice of Data Privacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring ongoing compliance with emerging legislation and guidance, fostering industry relationships and attending key forums, and proactively communicating with the Data Privacy team and wider stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the team at key forums, conferences, and industry events to exchange insights and best practices, and assess emerging trends and risks to support internal decision making.
  • Manage horizon scanning, keeping up to date with the latest guidance and regulator concerns, and sharing knowledge to the team and other interested stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Data Privacy Operations and Advice Manager and Senior Data Privacy Manager to provide advice and guidance on the strategic direction of Privacy at Nationwide.
Requirements
  • Experience of working within a Data Privacy function with a relevant qualification.
  • Expertise in data protection legislation and its application.
  • Proven track record assessing emerging risks and issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic about your subject.
