Customer Service Associate - National Trust

Overview

As a dedicated individual with a passion for exceptional service, you will engage with our visitors, providing assistance and addressing their inquiries.

Compensation: £11.50 per hour

Employment Type: Fixed-term contract

This position operates on an annualized hours basis, meaning your monthly working hours may fluctuate, but your salary will be distributed in 12 equal payments throughout the year.

Contract Option 1: You will be expected to work 1191 hours annually, typically comprising 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day (alternating Saturdays and Sundays), with flexibility based on operational needs.

Contract Option 2: You will be expected to work 794 hours annually, typically comprising 1 weekday and 1 weekend day (alternating Saturdays and Sundays), with flexibility based on operational needs.

Your working hours will vary seasonally, with specific times set for different periods of the year.



Work Environment

Reporting to the Retail Manager, Assistant Retail Manager, and Team Leader, you will be part of a committed and successful team focused on delivering outstanding customer experiences.

The National Trust's retail locations are vibrant and attract visitors year-round, featuring a variety of seasonal highlights and events that create an engaging atmosphere.

Our extensive Plant Centre offers a wide range of plants and gardening products, while our shop showcases a selection of local and regional items that connect with our mission.



Your Responsibilities

In your role as a Customer Service Associate, you will assist customers with their purchases and provide shopping guidance. Additional responsibilities may include receiving and organizing deliveries, supporting plant centre operations, creating attractive displays, and collaborating with team members to maintain a tidy and organized shop floor.
