We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Lead to join our team at Crane Worldwide Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our operations team and ensuring the smooth execution of our customs operations across the country.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operations team and disseminate activities on a day-to-day basis
* Drive product KPI compliance and milestone updates
* Support relationships with key customers and suppliers, resolving concerns and interacting with customer service, operations, and sales personnel to resolve conflicts in a timely manner
* Lead customs operations and execution across the entire country
* Coordinate all transnational operations (export, import, and customs activities), adhering to regulations and internal procedures
* Ensure all operations teams meet customer requirements and take corrective actions in case of deviations from requirements
* Provide guidelines to export, import, and gateway teams to ensure transactional operations are consistent with group business strategy and compliant with the local business environment
* Monitor quality and adherence to standards and be responsible for constant improvement and optimization of product means
* Develop a high-performance service culture within the export and import departments
* Ensure realization of budgetary performance by setting and monitoring clear objectives
* Manage interface with customer service, product, and global service centers as required
* Directly support, negotiate, and administer contracts with airlines and vendors supporting the air product
* Develop and oversee the air procurement strategy, approach, and business rules for carrier selection and utilization
* Lead and direct engagement with carrier performance management
* Lead and direct station exports, imports, and energy personnel on observance of operating plans supporting the air product
* Accountable for results of a large multi-category department, supply chain, or complex product lines, ensuring performance meets overall business needs, including strategy, cost, cost savings, direction, and people management
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in business or relevant experience
* Minimum of 4-5 years direct experience and working knowledge on customs and brokerage entry processing
* Minimum of 4 years' work experience relative to trade compliance
* Professional certification may be required in some areas
Physical Requirements
* Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate computer equipment
* Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Other Skills and Abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent time management abilities
* Demonstrated initiative, ability to exercise good judgment, and ability to achieve results through others
* Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiating, organization development/change management, budgeting, action planning, and supervision are required for successful performance
* Very strong conceptual, analytical, judgment, and communication abilities are critical
* Strategy and planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 12–24-month time span; strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
