About the Role
Morgan Ryder is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to drive employee engagement, policy development, and overall business performance at our site. As a key member of our HR team, you will support a healthy working environment, lead union meetings, and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Collaborate with managers and supervisors to resolve investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and absenteeism. Lead union meetings and ensure actions are followed and recorded.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement a successful employee engagement program, organize employee meetings, and facilitate open communication through newsletters and events.
- Shape Company Culture: Assist the HR Manager and leadership teams in developing and implementing new HR policies and long-term business improvement projects.
- Drive Compliance & Audit: Ensure GDPR compliance, complete audits, and update reports on systems.
- Training & Development: Support managers with site-wide training programs, maintain the annual training plan, and communicate changes to employment law or company policies.
- Payroll: Support payroll processing activities and manage enquiries.
Requirements
- Experience as a HR Advisor/Generalist/Business Partner in a unionized environment.
- CIPD qualified or significant industry experience.
- Passionate about HR, driving change, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Union experience – essential.
- Manufacturing experience – preferred.
- Confident and willing to challenge the norm and drive improvement initiatives.
