About the Role
A prominent legal practice is in search of a driven and skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to enhance its expanding and vibrant Employment division in London. This position presents a remarkable opportunity for the selected individual to collaborate closely with esteemed partners, fellow solicitors, and a trainee.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage a caseload independently while also taking on assignments from the partners. An interest in cultivating a personal client portfolio is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the work of junior lawyers, providing guidance and support as necessary.

Team Dynamics

The team operates independently but maintains close ties with other departments such as Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency, Intellectual Property, and Corporate Immigration.


Qualifications

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, including handling unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE, Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation, redundancy, general advisory, and senior executive exits (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in managing a personal caseload.
  • Adept at establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Team-oriented with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Genuine interest in business development, including presenting at industry events.
  • Ability to assist partners while effectively supervising junior team members.
  • Commitment to mentoring and developing junior lawyers' careers.
