About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the conceptual design and engineering of low voltage power systems, with a focus on industrial drive systems, power conversion, and power generation applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and capture client requirements through effective communication and collaboration
  • Design and define electrical concepts for low voltage power systems
  • Conduct detailed design studies and calculations to ensure system efficiency and reliability
  • Specify and procure components such as motors, drives, switchboards, transformers, energy storage, and cabling
  • Coordinate with the Hardware Design team to review and approve detailed designs
  • Maintain the Technical Construction File and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing and Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing
  • Ensure adherence to project milestones and promote continuous improvement
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers to develop their skills and knowledge
Requirements and Qualifications
  • BEng / BSE / Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent understanding of electrical control systems, low voltage power supply and distribution, power conversion, and power generation concepts
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
