About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Opus Recruitment Solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge software solutions for our clients in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions using a range of programming languages, including Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, ES6 with React, and C# with.NET Core.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, ensuring it meets the required standards and is scalable, efficient, and reliable.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure the highest level of code quality.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong background in object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, ES6 with React, and C# with.NET Core.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and DevOps practices, with experience in AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Security Clearance eligibility, with a permanent UK residence and citizenship.
