About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. As a key member of our digital team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cloud-based services, which reach over 50 million people annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy software applications using modern technologies and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and define requirements, and deliver features and services.
  • Work with Java, SpringBoot, Ruby on Rails, React, and other technologies to build scalable and secure applications.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and guidelines.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues to help them grow and develop their skills.
  • Operate the services you build and identify issues in production.
