Design and Safety Consultant

City Property (Glasgow) LLP is seeking a highly skilled Design and Safety Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the Technical Services department, this role will be responsible for championing Health and Safety across the organization and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice and guidance on Health and Safety matters, including CDM compliance and risk management.
- Develop and maintain project-level Health and Safety strategies, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct due diligence on Principal Designer roles across projects, ensuring effective discharge of duties under the CDM Regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to inform and assist them in meeting their Health and Safety obligations at each stage of the process.
- Review implications of procurement methods on CDM regulations and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Lead design reviews with team members, coordinating Health and Safety matters and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Undertake other professional and technical duties related to vacant properties, including ensuring Health and Safety and risk management procedures are understood and adhered to.
- NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) or equivalent qualification.
- Construction-related qualification to a minimum of HNC level, with experience of undertaking Health and Safety duties in a construction-related environment.
- Recognized professional qualification, such as Chartered Engineer, Chartered Architect, or Chartered Building Surveyor, or sufficient equivalent experience.
- Certified member of the Association for Project Safety (CMaPS) or similar, with a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and supporting evidence.
- Full driving license and experience of working on a diverse portfolio of non-domestic assets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills, as well as excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client management skills, with proficiency in the use of information technology, including Microsoft programs.
