Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Manager
A leading recruitment agency, Alexander Steele Recruitment, is partnering with an international food manufacturer to find an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager. This role will be based in the UK and will involve leading the development and implementation of environmental management policies and systems for the company's UK sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental management policies and systems that meet regulatory requirements and promote sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the environmental management audit programme and provide guidance and support to site teams.
- Manage the annual environmental review for UK sites and develop strategies to improve environmental performance.
- Develop and implement waste management and recycling processes and procedures.
- Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) programme and ensure that all necessary assessments are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a dynamic food manufacturing environment.
- IEMA Certification or NEBOSH Environmental Certification.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong track record of leading and motivating teams in previous positions.
- Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £63,000 per annum.
- A car allowance of £9,000 per annum.
- A 10% bonus scheme.
- A 5% pension scheme.
- 33 days' holiday per annum.
- A Monday to Friday working week with regular working hours.
