Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as an Aerial Survey Operator. This full-time position involves working on a shift pattern, contributing to unique and innovative projects that enhance your career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate advanced aerial imaging and sensing equipment, including Vexcel Eagle, Optech Galaxy, and Leica CityMapper.
  • Maintain calibration of sensor systems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with sensor manufacturers for maintenance and technical support.
  • Coordinate with air traffic control and other departments to secure necessary permissions.
  • Plan flight operations effectively.
  • Oversee sensor installation processes.
  • Provide training to team members on flight planning and data processing.
  • Ensure all operational permissions and documentation are secured prior to project initiation.
  • Monitor meteorological conditions to identify optimal data capture opportunities.
  • Lead technical initiatives for sensor and software enhancement.
  • Conduct field testing and calibration of instruments.

Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK and proficiency in English communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in aerial survey operations.
  • Strong understanding of aerial survey and remote sensing methodologies.
  • Experience in flight planning and weather assessment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Geography, Remote Sensing, or GIS.
