Position Overview

Contract Role: EVera Recruitment is seeking a Lead Systems Integration Specialist to support a prominent UK-based manufacturer specializing in a comprehensive range of trucks.

The Lead Systems Integration Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Managing the integration and oversight of high-voltage (HV) and electrical/electronic (EE) control units (ECUs) at the vehicle level, ensuring effective system interactions.
  • Performing thorough debugging and testing of HV and EE systems, pinpointing and rectifying issues to achieve peak performance and safety standards.
  • Overseeing supplier collaborations for HV and EE components, ensuring timely procurement and compliance with technical specifications.
  • Directing the development and rollout of updated versions of HV and EE systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Administering both aspects of the V-Cycle, which includes requirements gathering, design, implementation, validation, and verification of HV and EE systems.
  • Establishing and maintaining detailed project timelines for HV and EE system initiatives, ensuring adherence to deadlines and addressing potential delays proactively.

The ideal Lead Systems Integration Specialist will possess:

  • A solid history of integrating automotive electronic systems, including Battery Management Systems (BMS), Engine Control Units (ECU), Body Control Modules (BCM), Infotainment systems, On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), Telematics, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) at the vehicle level.
  • A background with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Expertise in communication protocols and tools such as CAN, J1939, LIN, IP, and Vector tools, along with familiarity with the Software V Cycle, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Six Sigma methodologies, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cyber Security, and IATF standards.
  • Extensive experience at the OEM level, with a profound understanding of the intricacies and standards necessary for vehicle system integration.
  • Proven skills in managing the systems side of software integration, ensuring comprehensive interaction and functionality across diverse vehicle systems.
