Job Title: Transformation Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transformation Project Manager to join our team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Service Transformation Team, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing projects that drive service improvement and transformation across our organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience of working in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for managing targeted improvement and change management projects, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement and implementing change through various approaches.

You will also be responsible for leading on the performance monitoring and reporting of improvement projects, with a focus on delivering safe and effective services and outcomes. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage targeted improvement and change management projects independently at any one time.
  • Act as an effective role model, contributing to a culture of civility and inclusivity, positive performance management, and developing own credibility through the demonstration of high standards.
  • Support the Service Transformation Managers on large-scale transformation programmes as part of the Trust's objectives and strategic direction.
  • Lead on the performance monitoring and reporting of improvement projects, with responsibility for monitoring progress against the programme timeline and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Undertake complex data analysis from a range of sources to identify opportunities for improvement and review progress against agreed key performance indicators.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, with evidence of continuous professional development. A project management qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Essential skills include sound knowledge of health service management, including change management and service design, project management skills, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience of project management in the health, social care, or other public sector organization, and experience of implementing change through various approaches.

Desirable skills include broad knowledge and understanding of the current NHS policy agenda, line management experience, and ability to develop service development plans, care pathways, and service specifications.
