About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our technical team at Starlight Energy to support the project definition and design pool.

Our development experience includes large-scale Solar, Green Hydrogen, and large-scale Battery Storage Scheme projects across the UK.

The role involves engaging with a range of development projects for one of the UK's leading Green Energy investment funds, as well as supporting our development teams in other jurisdictions, such as Canada, Romania, Italy, and Greece.

Ultimately, you will be involved in all stages of project development from site selection through to completion. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the work being carried out, including project management and delivery, and assisting with the generation of new business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Feasibility: Advise on the feasibility of projects and identify suitable land for project development.
  • Site Development: Generate site layouts in AutoCAD, GIS, and SketchUp.
  • Grid Connection: Review and submit grid connection applications.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide advice to the land sourcing, planning, and solicitor teams working with you to deliver viable projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Starlight Energy in discussions with statutory bodies, such as the DNOs and National Grid.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree qualified, ideally in engineering or renewable energy.
  • Technical Skills: Experienced in using AutoCAD, GIS, and SketchUp.
  • Driving License: Hold a full, clean UK driving license.
  • Work Permit: The right to work in the UK.
