Key Responsibilities

This position is crucial within the UK VAT Team, concentrating on compliance and advisory functions related to UK VAT. Duties include supporting the commodities sector, delivering VAT guidance, aiding in technology integration, and ensuring VAT compliance within the commodities framework. Furthermore, you will provide comprehensive VAT advisory assistance and promote process efficiencies.

  • Assist the commodities sector with indirect tax matters.
  • Evaluate new offerings within the commodities sector.
  • Deliver ad hoc VAT guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations in the commodities sector.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Proven experience in Commodities VAT.
  • Extensive knowledge of VAT and financial services.
  • Background in VAT advisory.
  • Familiarity with UK VAT compliance.
  • Experience in VAT processes and associated risks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.

  • Relevant accountancy or legal qualifications.
  • Experience in general VAT and tax accounting.
  • Specialist knowledge in Commodities VAT.
