About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Care Manager to join our team at The Cambian Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
    • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective allocation of funds.
  • Care and Support
    • Ensure that each young person has a personalized care plan that meets their individual needs.
    • Work closely with staff to ensure that the care and support provided is of the highest standard.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support provided.
  • Staff Development and Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care.
    • Manage staff performance and conduct, ensuring that all staff are held to the highest standards.
    • Develop and implement staff development plans to ensure that staff are equipped to meet the needs of our young people.
  • Safeguarding and Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed and that the home is compliant with all relevant regulations.
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and support provided, making recommendations for improvement.
    • Work closely with external agencies to ensure that our young people receive the best possible support.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • NVQ 4 in Caring for Children and Young People (actual or in progress) or equivalent.
    • At least two years' experience working with children in a residential care setting, with at least one year at a senior level.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Excellent leadership and management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children Act.
