Job Title: Premises Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Premises Manager to join our team at Torfaen County Borough Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our school buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school's buildings and grounds, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained.
- Develop and implement health and safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and address maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to school activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor and report on maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external partners.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations, with the ability to develop and implement effective safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing needs.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
